Accessibility at Cogran

Accessibility Conformance Statement

The Cogran Platform conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA based on testing of representative platform templates. This statement explains what was evaluated, how it was tested, and where responsibility for tenant-authored content begins.

Purpose

This statement describes the accessibility conformance of the Cogran Platform and defines the boundary between Cogran-controlled application functionality and content created or controlled by customers, administrators, and end users.

Procurement note

This general accessibility statement does not replace a formal Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR) based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT), when one is requested as part of a procurement process.

Applicable standards

  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA - the conformance target used for this evaluation.
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act - relevant to covered federal information and communication technology. The Revised Section 508 Standards incorporate WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA.
  • Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act - relevant to state and local government web content and mobile applications. The current DOJ technical standard is WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Conformance status

The Cogran Platform conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, based on testing of representative page templates across the platform as described below. No errors or violations were identified during this testing cycle.

Because Cogran generates pages dynamically from schemas, permissions, configuration, and customer data, the evaluation focused on the reusable templates and components that produce the platform experience rather than every possible page instance.

Scope and responsibility

In scope: Cogran-controlled

Core application code, system behavior, reusable components, and system-generated experiences maintained by Cogran.

Outside Cogran's scope

Content authored or customized by tenant administrators or end users in rich-text, image, link, and custom HTML fields.

Cogran-controlled areas include

  • Platform user-interface components, navigation, forms, and system-generated templates.
  • Dynamically generated, permission-filtered, schema-driven forms and dashboards.
  • System error messages, alerts, and notifications.
  • Focus management, keyboard navigation, and ARIA live regions.
  • Color contrast and motion or animation behavior within core application code.

Tenant and user-controlled content

Cogran provides rich-text and custom HTML fields that allow tenant administrators and end users to author content such as event descriptions, announcements, and custom pages. The accessibility of that content - including image alternative text, heading structure, color contrast, descriptive link text, and user-defined HTML - is the responsibility of the content author and is outside Cogran's scope of conformance.

Testing scope and evaluation methods

Testing was performed against representative page templates in Cogran's DEMO database. The test set covered the major page types generated by the platform, including login, dashboards, dynamic forms, program and discovery listings, cart and checkout flows, and error states.
