Start by opening your organization’s Cogran website in the browser named below. Menu wording can shift slightly with browser updates.

WINDOWS

Install with Chrome
or Microsoft Edge.

GOOGLE CHROME

  1. Open your Cogran site in Chrome.
  2. Open More (the three-dot menu), then choose Cast, save and share → Install page as app.
  3. If an Install icon appears in the address bar, you can select that instead.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

MICROSOFT EDGE

  1. Open your Cogran site in Edge.
  2. Open Settings and more (the three-dot menu).
  3. Choose Apps → Install this site as an app.
  4. Confirm the installation.

Afterward: Open Cogran from the Start menu. You can also pin it to the taskbar for daily access.

MAC

Add to Dock with Safari
or install with Chrome.

SAFARI — macOS SONOMA 14 OR LATER

  1. Open your Cogran site in Safari.
  2. Choose File → Add to Dock.
  3. Review the app name and select Add.

GOOGLE CHROME

  1. Open your Cogran site in Chrome.
  2. Open More → Cast, save and share → Install page as app.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Afterward: Find Cogran in Applications or the Dock, depending on the browser and choices you made.

ANDROID

Install from Chrome.

GOOGLE CHROME

  1. Open your Cogran site in Chrome.
  2. Tap More beside the address bar.
  3. Choose Install and create shortcut → Install.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Afterward: A Cogran icon appears with your apps or on your home screen, depending on your device settings.

IPHONE & IPAD

Add from Safari.

SAFARI

  1. Open your Cogran site in Safari.
  2. Open the Page menu or tap Share, depending on your Safari layout.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen. If it is not listed, scroll to Edit Actions and add it.
  4. Turn on Open as Web App when that choice appears, then tap Add.

Afterward: Tap the new Cogran icon on your Home Screen to open the site as an app.

AFTER INSTALLING

A cleaner route
into the same system.

Installing the web app changes how you open Cogran. It does not create a different account or a separate version of your organization’s site.

Sign in normally

Use the same Cogran site and credentials your organization already provides.

Keep it handy

Pin the app to a taskbar or Dock, or move the icon where staff can reach it quickly.

Receive updates

Continue opening the app normally. Website updates are delivered without a separate app-store update.

Remove it

Uninstall it through the browser or operating system, or remove the icon from the Home Screen.

IF YOU DO NOT SEE INSTALL

A few things
to check.

Am I using the browser named in the instructions?

On iPhone and iPad, use Safari. On Android, use Chrome. On desktop, Chrome, Edge, and newer Safari versions provide the clearest installation paths.

Could my device be managed by my organization?

Yes. Work, school, and municipal device policies can limit app installation. Ask your device administrator if the option is missing or disabled.

Is my browser or operating system current?

Update the browser and operating system, reopen your Cogran site, and check the menu again. Safari’s Add to Dock feature requires macOS Sonoma 14 or later.

Do I need an app store?

No. You install the web app directly from your browser. If installation is unavailable, you can continue using Cogran in a regular browser tab.
